STORY AND PHOTO BY KAREN BOSSICK

The Bug Zoo Festival is back following a hiatus due to the COVID pandemic.

Kids can get up close and personal with Idaho’s native critters from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden.

This year’s festival is exploring Idaho native creatures. Children will get a chance to explore engaging displays while learning fun facts about fun, weird and, sometimes helpful, creepy crawlers.

Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. It’s free for those 3 and under.

The event is co-sponsored by the Papoose Club, ERC, Rotary Club and Toy Store.
