Take advantage of 10 inches of new snow when the Blaine County Recreation District hosts free Nordic skiing and snowshoeing on its winter trails today.

Ski or snowshoe any of the trails BCRD maintains from Quigley Nordic in Hailey to the trails surrounding Galena Lodge today—Saturday, Feb. 25.

Sunny temperatures and fresh snow made for primo conditions on Sun Valley Resort’s Bald Mountain on Friday, leaving plenty of skiers thankful that someone long ago had the bright idea to strap a pair of boards to his or her feet.

And the conditions were equally good at trails like Durrance north of Ketchum that afternoon.

The BCRD will hold its final Ski Free Day for the season on Wednesday, March 22.
