Camp Rainbow Gold is looking for some votes.
The children’s oncology camp can get a $25,000 grant from State Farm if enough supporters cast votes on its behalf.
Anyone 18 and older with a valid email address can vote for their favorite cause at www.neighborhoodassist.com through 11:59 p.m. Friday, May 6. Each person is allowed up to 10 votes a day.
The top 100 vote-receiving causes will be awarded $25,000 grants on June 7.
Camp Rainbow Gold is one of two Idaho nonprofits among the 200 finalists. It provides services to more than 400 Idaho family members.
“At Camp Rainbow Gold, all our programs and events are provided free of charge for the children and families we serve,” said development director Christl Holzl of the camp, which until last year was based out of Cathedral Pines north of Ketchum. “This is made possible through the generosity of volunteers, donors, and grant opportunities, like this one from State Farm. We would love for our community to help us by voting and sharing over the next week.”
State Farm Neighborhood Assist is a crowd-sourced philanthropic initiative that empowers communities to identify issues in their neighborhoods. The State Farm Review Committee selected the top 200 finalists from 4,000 submissions.
