Ketchum resident David McElhinny has joined digital behavioral health company Mindyra Health Corporation’s Board of Directors.

McElhinny plans to offer his business experience to help Mindyra expand its mental health tools and technology.

The Connecticut-based Mindyra is the only digital behavioral health care company to have developed and deployed clinical tools to accurately screen, diagnose and measure outcomes of care provided. It provides an early warning detection system to help employers deliver optimal mental health care to prevent mild or moderate employee mental health problems from becoming severe, thereby keeping employees happier and more productive.

“Mental health is a significant problem for both employers and employees in the American workforce,” said McElhinny. “Mindyra’s innovative technology makes it easy for employees to get the level of help they need, when they want it. Employers are able to gain valuable health risk insights that help optimize their selection of employee mental and physical wellbeing programs.”

McElhinny is the retired owner and CEO of SIGCO, Inc.—New England’s largest architectural glass and metal fabricator. He owned and operated that company for 20 years. Prior to that time, he was a commercial banker, a CFO and treasurer of Rogers, Lunt & Bowlen Company and he held several financial positions for Allied Signal.

A graduate of Swarthmore College, he earned an MBA at the Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He also serves on a number of corporate and educational institution boards, including Swarthmore College, St. George’s School, Tilton School and Timanous Foundation.

“His experience in growing and managing a successful business over many years, and his experience with investors as his business grew, will provide a helpful perspective for all of us,” said Mindyra CEO Bill Battey.
