The community is being asked to help renamed the old Copy & Print building that is being transformed into a corner piece of Hailey’s new town square.
Right now, it’s called Hailey Town Center West, which begs the question “West of what?” until you realize that the City Hall building is dubbed the Hailey Town Center.
The 4,000-square-foot building located at 116 S. River St., once housed the Hailey Post office and an outdoor store. It’s been used by the City of Hailey and the library as a community gathering place for the past few months.
“The old Copy & Print building needs a new name to match its new purpose as a community gathering place,” said City Administrator Lisa Horowitz. “We need the community’s help. What should we name it?”
The public is invited to drop suggestions into voting boxes at the Hailey Public Library and Hailey City Hall through June 3. The community will have the opportunity to vote on the top four to six suggestions from June 13-27 at the Library and City Hall.
The winning name will be announced July 4.
