STORY AND PHOTOS BY KAREN BOSSICK “The Wizard of Oz,” which is taking the stage tonight through Sunday, Sept. 24, features 54 adults and children—all in amazing colorful costumes, thanks to a plethora of nifty sewers who pitched in. Make that 55 actors, if you count the adorable Toto who put in a very evenly-keeled performance despite the glaring scowl of Almira Gulch who claims he bit her leg. The production uses screen projections to set the stage for the tornado, the Emerald City and other scenes. It also features some nice props, right down to the hot dog Michael Cohen as Professor Marvel is roasting on the fire.
