Dr. Buck Levy’s introduction of cross country skiing as we know it today wasn’t met with immediate enthusiasm.
His fellow board members at the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation weren’t keen on taking on another sport, in addition to alpine ski racing. And Sun Valley officials were a bit fearful that people would flock from Bald and Dollar mountains to the flats.
