BY MICHAEL DAVID

On a chilly Senior Night in front of a large and brave crowd at Phil Homer Field, the Wood River Lady Wolverines downed the Burley Bobcats 6-0. The win raised the Wolverines record to 7-4-2 in conference and kept them in fourth place in the tough Great Basin Conference.

Wood River opened the scoring five minutes into the contest and never looked back, scoring two more goals in the first half and three more after the break.

District playoffs start this coming week as the ladies look to secure a berth in the state tournament.
