Evans Farmstead Cheese Made from Milk on the Tap

Saturday, October 15, 2022

You may have seen Evans Farmstead Cheese at the Wood River Farmer’s Market. Join Eye on Sun Valley’s Marie Gallo as she takes you to the farm near Buhl that revolves around 150 grade A Jersey cows.

Eric Evans, a genetic consultant for Intermountain Embryonics who grew up on a dairy farm in upper state New York, will take you into the cheese plant where he and his wife Misty make cheese in a 50-gallon vat imported from Holland with fresh milk on the tap. And Misty Evans will talk about how she concocted 25 different flavors using the chemistry know-how she gained as a registered nurse who studied under French cheese maker Ivan Larcher.
