Galena Lodge will open for the summer on Friday, June 9. And it will sport four new monthly Community Bike ‘n Hike Nights through September.
The Bike ‘n Hike Nights will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Fridays June 16, July 21, Aug. 18 and Sept. 8.
Sponsored by the Blaine County Recreation District and Galena Lodge, the special nights invite Sun valley-area residents to join a group mountain bike ride or hike while meeting new friends and enjoying free hot dogs and beverages.
The lodge will be open every day during the summer with homemade soups, burgers, fries and other lunch items served from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pastries and espresso will be offered in the morning, and a full bar is available, as well. Brunch will be offered on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. And the lodge will offer Thursday evening Wagon Ride BBQs, as it has in the past.
The lodge is offering a variety of mountain bike clinics ranging from the “Never Evers Intro to Mountain Biking” to “Intermediate Downhills and Corners.” Bike rental is available at the lodge.
Week-long Youth Adventure Camps will run throughout the summer. Summer yurt rentals also are available.
