The Roundhouse Gondola has started up for the summer.
The gondola will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through early fall for foot traffic.
Lift-served mountain biking for the Lupine and Saddle Up trails will begin on Saturday, July 1, as trail closures for elk calving on the Warm Springs and Cold Springs trails are lifted.
Lift tickets are $28 for adults, $20 for youngsters 3 through 12 and $20 for seniors 65 and older. Children under the age of two get to ride free with an adult.
The Roundhouse Restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, with bar service available until 4 p.m.
New this year: The River Run Day Lodge will also offer sandwiches, salads, snacks and a full bar each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Spider Jump trampoline has taken its place among the activities at the bottom of the mountain, including shopping at the Brass Ranch and bike rentals at Pete Lane’s.
Sun Valley Resort is offering a Sun Valley Summer Fun Pass for $59 per person. The passes, valid through Sept. 10, are good for six of eight activities:
- A single scoop of ice cream at A la Mode
- One half-day cruiser bike rental at Pete Lane’s
- One half-hour plus shoe rental of bowling at the Sun Valley Lodge
- One lift ticket to ride the gondola up Bald Mountain
- One session plus skate rental at Sun Valley Ice Rink
- One-hour paddleboat rental for Sun Valley Lake
- One hour on the Sawtooth Putting Course
- One session of Spider Jump.
Yoga on the Mountain will return to the River Run Plaza on Saturday mornings beginning July 8 and continuing on July 22 and 29; Aug. 12 and 19 and on Labor Day weekend.
The free classes, sponsored by Norwegian clothing company Kari Traa, are beginner-friendly. Abby Siebert will lead the early session at 8:45 a.m. and Katherine Pleasants the second at 10 a.m. A limited number of mats are available.
