See rare books from Ernest Hemingway’s years in Paris tonight when the Community Library brings out books from its Hemingway Collection.
Emma Sarconi, the library’s 2017 Hemingway Summer Research Fellow, will talk about her research and discovery in Ernest and Mary’s home library in Ketchum during the free talk, which begins at 6 p.m.
The library’s Regional History Department will hold an open house from 4:30 to 6 p.m. preceding the lecture.
Librarians will acquaint attendees with new discoveries from the Hemingway House collections, rare archive materials, oral histories and more.
Refreshments will be served.
The library will host the 2017 Ernest Hemingway Seminar Sept. 7 through 9.

It will be keynoted by Paula McLain, author of “The Paris Wife.” Additional talks will be given by Arlo Haskell, poet and executive director of the Key West Literary Seminar, and Mac Test of Boise State University. It will also feature a panel discussion by Boise State university professors.
