Ballet Sun Valley, which is bringing 23 acclaimed dancers from around the world to Sun Valley, has opened up the Pavilion Lawn for its two performances on Aug. 22 and 24. And it’s offering three chances to win a 15-day cruise for two through Scandinavia and the Baltics.

Tickets for the lawn performances will be $25 per ticket, with children 12 and under admitted free of charge. They may be purchased at www.sunvalley.ticketfly.com or by calling 208-727-7437.

Tickets are also available at the Sun Valley Resort ticket office by calling 208-622-2135.

There are a few seats inside the Pavilion, which range from $50 to $500.

The two performances are completely different. The Aug. 22 performance will feature several dances featuring pairs of dancers.

The Aug. 24 performance will feature an eclipse-themed, world-premiere ballet choreographed by Gemma Bond, one of the few female choreographers in the ballet world and recent winner of the prestigious Princess Grace Aware for Choreography. It will include an original score from acclaimed composer Judd Greenstein and videography from Kate Duhamel.

Both performances will feature Isabella Boylston, who grew up in Sun Valley, along with Misty Copeland, Lauren Cuthbertson, Marcelo Gomes, Xander Parish, Kimin Kim and Maria Kochetkova from the world’s top international ballet companies.

In addition, Viking Cruises has donated three ocean cruises to benefit Ballet Sun Valley. Raffle tickets, available for $50 each, offer three opportunities to win and may be purchased Aug. 14-24 at the Information Center at Sun Valley Resort or at the concierge desk of the Limelight Hotel in Ketchum.

Each winner will receive a 15-day 2018 Viking Homelands cruise for two people valued at approximately $17,000. Winners will sail through Scandinavia and the Baltics, with overnights in Stockholm and St. Petersburg, along with visits to Helsinki, Berlin, Copenhagen, Gdansk and Bergen.

Winners need not be present when the drawing is held at the Sun Valley Pavilion on Thursday, Aug. 24.
