A Solidarity with Charlottesville rally will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, in Hailey’s Hop Porter Park.
The Hailey chapter of Solidarity Sundays and the Immigration Alliance of Idaho have organized the Solidarity Gathering Against Racism to show support for the victims of the recent attack in Charlottesville, Va.
One woman was killed and many more injured when a car driven by a white supremacist plowed into a group of people protesting an ongoing march by white supremacists.
Similar solidarity marches were held this past weekend around the country. But local organizers thought it better to hold theirs after the “Eclipse Madness” of Monday’s total solar eclipse was over, said Molly Page, of Indivisible Blaine County.
