The Senior Connection has a new sign and sense of appeal.
Dave Swaner of D Swaner Welding cut the ribbon on the new sign recently while Senior Connection members and others looked on. Swaner donated the sign, which includes the center’s name and its logo of a person with outstretched arms embracing a community.
But the whole thing took a village.
Sue Barney and Dave Markham coordinated a facelift of the property. C+R Electric ensured the sign would be visible at night so folks can find it easily for evening events.
Lane Monroe and his crew from Keller Williams repainted the entrance, and Clearwater Landscaping spruced up the yard. And the Boy Scouts were the ones who actually hung the sign.
“Truly a community-build project at its best,” said Teresa Beahen Lipman, executive director of The Connection.
”I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!” said Monroe of the ribbon cutting. “The Senior Connection is such a spectacular place with amazing seniors.”
