Sen. Marv Hagedorn, a 2018 candidate for Idaho’s lieutenant governor, will be featured speaker at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at the Old Court House in Hailey.
The presentation is part of the Blaine County Republican Central Committee’s Meet the Candidate series.
Hagedorn was born in Omak, Wash., but graduated in 1974 from Potlatch High School. He attended the University of Maryland and Pensacola Junior College and served 20 years active duty with the U.S. Navy. He co-founded the Wyakin Warrior Foundation.
Hagedorn is a CEO of a multi-million business dealing in the international sale of farm and construction equipment. He has also spent 22 years in semiconductor manufacturing and international operations.
He served three terms in the Idaho House from 2007 to 2012 and is currently representing District 14 as a senator from Meridian. He serves on the Senate State Affairs, Judiciary and Rules and Transportation committees.
A member of Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife-Idaho, he’s also a distinguished life member of the National Rifle Association and founding and life member of the North American Fishing Club.
He and his wife Patty have two children.
With three of seven current Constitutional officers not running for reelection in 2018 and many candidates declaring early, the Blaine County Republican Central Committee has made a point of inviting all candidates for governor and lieutenant governor to meet with the committee, the Blaine County Republican Women and residents of the Wood River Valley.
