Dr. Evelyn Johnson, scientific director at the Lee Pesky Learning Center, will make a free presentation about Self-Regulated Learning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Wood River YMCA.
Self-regulation can be particularly beneficial for children who struggle with learning and attention and who live in stressful environments.
Johnson will talk about skills and strategies that can help, along with information about how children who struggle with self-regulation can be supported in school.
