Celebrate journeys, adventure and nature from an arm chair—or, at least a bar stool—tonight.
The Outsider Corps will hold its inaugural meeting at 5:30 p.m. tonight—Wednesday, Nov. 8—upstairs at Whiskey Jacques in Ketchum.
Members will introduce the new free monthly conservation-oriented program designed to bring together people and science for conservation. And they will share some stunning underwater images and a conservation project from the Island of Bonaire conducted by the staff of the Institute.
Outsider Corps—a program by locals, for locals and about locals—is a new program of Seventh Generation Institute, which is based in New Mexico.
It was founded with the idea that old school conservation methods won’t get the job done and that new ideas, tools and information need to be engage to preserve a healthy ecosystem and nurturing nature experiences in the face of climate change and unsustainable resource management practices.
The Outsider Corps plans to hold meetings the second Wednesday of every month.
