Christmas Enchantment 2017
BY ED NORTHEN
Walking in a river canyon
icy frost encapsulates
the sage and red dogwood
creating a diamond forest
A misty fog hangs low
over rippling water
frozen crystals hover on tendrils of air
backlit by solar lumens
Creating the illusion
of angles suspended
In the atmosphere
An ethereal wonderment
Overwhelms my soul
In this silent beauty
A moment of mysteries
Palpable yet concealed
In hopeful expectation
A moment
When angels might
Once again split the realms
And herald
Hosanna
Glory to God in the highest
And Peace on earth
Proclaimin
God’s love
To all who
In astonishment
Listen
And perceive
