Learn about the true snowbirds—the birds that spend the winter in Sun Valley—in a two-part presentation today.
Local birder Poo Wright-Pulliam will offer a program, “Discovering Winter Birds of Ketchum,” at 11 a.m. at Ketchum’s Community Library.
She will then follow that up with a tour around Ketchum to see the species in all their feathered glory.
The program is presented by the Environmental Resource Center. There is a suggested donation of $10 for the walk for ERC members and $20 for nonmembers.
Preregistration for the walk is encouraged at 208-726-4333 or Hadley@ercsv.org.
Additional ERC Winter Bird Walks will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at The Nature Conservancy’s Silver Creek Preserve and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Draper Preserve in Hailey.
