Ring in the New Year’s with a Family Party and Night Skiing on Dollar Mountain.
Sun Valley Resort is throwing the party from 5 to 9 p.m.
There’ll be skiing and music on Quarter Dollar, face painting, New Year’s Eve party hat decorating, a photo booth, bouncy house, jousting and more.
And the evening will be capped by a New Year’s Eve countdown and fireworks at 9 p.m. sharp with plenty of opportunity left to hit another New Year’s Eve party…or hit the sack early, having satisfied any penchant for counting down the moments to the New Year.
Dollar Mountain is in very good shape, thanks to plenty of gun pow. Hardly a pesky pebble to be seen.
Cost is $35 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under. Season passes are not valid for this special event.
The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation, meanwhile, is hosting New Year’s Eve skiing and boarding party at Rotarun Ski Area a few miles west of Hailey.
There’ll be a family-friendly dual slalom—both uphill and downhill. And there’ll be a torchlight parade. KB’s will have its famous burritos available. And there’ll be a bonfire.
The event takes place from 5:15 to 8:30 p.m. at the small ski area a few miles west of Hailey on Rodeo Drive in Croy Canyon.
