BY KAREN BOSSICK

Science After School starts up today—Tuesday, Jan. 16—at Alturas Elementary School.

The free six-week outdoor afterschool science program runs from 2:15 to 4 p.m., engaging fourth- and fifth-grade students in project-based learning focused on natural science, the environment and sustainability issues.

This session participants will work on projects related to the local winter landscape.

The program is offered by the Environmental Resource Center, which provides all the materials and snacks to boot.

To find out more, contact Alisa McGowan, the ERC program director at alisa@ercsv.org or 208-726-4333.
