Jessica Kisiel, a part-time valley resident, ex-pro mountain biker and former VAMPS instructor, will introduce her new book, “Winning the Injury Game,” this week.
Kisiel, now a posture/wellness coach, will talk about some of the principles contained in the book during three sessions.
She will offer a free talk titled “Skate Skiing in Balance” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Perry’s Restaurant in Ketchum. Light refreshments, beer and wine will be available for purchase.
She will offer a Posture Fitness Class followed by a book signing from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at BCRD FitWorks in Hailey The class is free for FitWorks members and $8 for non-members.
And she will offer a free talk titled “Healing Chronic Pain yhrough Alignment” from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Hailey Library. The talk, co-sponsored by Iconoclast Books & Gifts, will include light refreshments.
Kisiel was diagnosed with severe hip osteoarthritis at the peak of her professional mountain biking career. She set out to find an alternative path to healing, overcoming her chronic pain to return to sports strong and more balanced in body and mind. Her book offers alignment strategies for healing and performance.
