It could be that auditioning for a play is more entertaining than the play itself.
That’s the idea behind “The Audition,” Don Zolidis’ hilarious and heartbreaking look at the madness of auditioning.
The Wood River High School Drama Department will present “The Audition,” a 30-minute play by Don Zolidis as part of its Spring Showcase and One-Act Festival.
Performances are scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, April 18 and 19, and for Thursday, April 26. The play will also be shown at Wood River High School’s One-Act Festival at 3 p.m. Friday, April 27.
They all take place in the wood River High School Performing Arts Theater at Hailey’s Community Campus.
The play revolves around a new theater teacher who is bent on staging a production of “A Chorus Line.” The hopefuls range from shy to outrageous and from diva-like to determined. No matter which they are, they must brave the process for that perfect part.
Cast and crew features: Will Pullin, Titia Groenhof, Jessi Timmons, Sarah Feltman, Sam White, Maddie Biggers, Viri Lemus, Ramsey Marquis, Joey Ziesing, Koii Lauritsen, Justice Petzoldt, Emily Ruhter, Taylor Telford, Sean Sheehan, Beckler Thomas, Emily Hollingshead, Anyela de La Cruz, Lelu Norton and Annabelle Lewis.
Donations are welcome to help fund the kids’ theater projects.
