Investigators continued sifting through waterlogged rubble at Sun Valley’s Warm Springs Lodge on Friday.
Two ATF agents from Boise interviewed Ketchum City Councilman and Eye On Sun Valley journalist Michael David, who was first on the scene, along with his son.
They were particularly interested in the footage he captured at the beginning stages of the fire that showed flames shooting out of the east side of the 26-year-old log lodge.
Investigators said they hoped to wrap things up on Friday.
Fire broke out in the elegant ski lodge Wednesday night, with an alarm at 11:20 p.m. drawing 63 firefighters and several trucks from throughout Wood River Valley.
On Friday the lodge, which closed for the season on Sunday, sported a very different roof line than before, with buckling in some places and roof lines that looked as if they had ripped off in other places.
A chain link fence has been erected around the lodge, replacing the yellow "Do Not Cross" tape.
Sun Valley representatives have said that the Holding family plans to rebuild the lodge and have it ready for the 2018-19 ski season.
