Fire Update, Colorado Gulch

Updates on Today’s Fires: 5:30 pm Fire Managers expect the Ohio Gulch Transfer Station mulch fire will continue to burn for several hours. Crews will remain onsite. No structures are threatened. BCSO Deputies are stationed at the road closure on Ohio Gulch Rd at Sweetbrier Rd. to maintain access for emergency vehicles. Signage from ITD is enroute. There is no current access to the gun club or transfer station. Crews have stopped spread of Colorado Gulch Fire and will be mopping up for several hours. The public is asked to stay out of all of these areas.

Fire Update: a second fire has just been reported near Colorado Gulch and Broadford Road in Hailey, Idaho. Emergency crews are on scene. No structures are threatened at this time. The public is asked to stay out of the area to allow access for first responders. Updates will be provided on social media when available. Thank you for your cooperation. 06/27/2018 4:42 pm 

Transfer Station in Hailey, Idaho. Crews from Hailey Fire, Wood River Fire and Rescue, Sun Valley Fire and Ketchum Fire are responding with deputies from the Blaine County Sheriff‘s Office. The fire, which is generating visible white smoke blowing southwest, is reported to primarily consist of pile of mulch. There are no size estimates at this time and the public is asked to stay out of the area to allow responders access. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available. Individuals who are sensitive to smoke may want to take precautions. 06/27/2018 3:26 pm

Fire Road Closure: Ohio Gulch Rd has been closed at Sweetbriar due to the mulch fire in the Winn compost area facility across the Ohio Gulch Road from the transfer station. There is no current public access to the dump or gun club. Please stay out of the area and allow emergency crews to work. 06/27/2018 4:50 pm
