Get your dance shoes on, your beach balls ready to bop and your tummy ready to party.
It’s time for Vine & Dine.
Sun Valley Center for the Arts will throw its annual picnic featuring wine, tapas and dance music from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 21, on the lawn outside Carol’s Dollar Mountain Lodge.
All varietals of wine will be featured in the lineup, including sparkling wine, so there will be something for everyone, said Esther Williams, The Center’s special events coordinator.
And a few new restaurants, such as Tony’s Fine Foods, United Natural Foods and Canuck Cookies, will be included in the lineup of restaurants serving up tapas. Among them: restaurants from Hailey and a few food trucks.
Warfield Distillery & Brewery and the Sawtooth Brewery will serve up craft beer for those who prefer hops to grapes.
“We wanted to make sure this is a community-wide event that represents Hailey, as well as Ketchum. Everyone has stepped up their game and we’re going to see some very amazing dishes that represent what the restaurants are all about. And there will be a different selection of foods—something for everyone, whether you’re gluten free or on the Paleo diet,” said Williams.
Pixie & the Partygrass Boys, a five-member Salt Lake City bluegrass group with a love for silly outfits, will provide the music. The dance band performs originals and covers with a different spin, making for some fun dancing.
Vine & Dine will cap three days of events that include lavish vintner dinners at private homes and the Gala Wine Auction Dinner on Friday night.
The three-day event, which draws people from all over the country, makes up 50 percent of The Center’s operating budget, allowing it to provide arts education for youth and adults free of charge.
Tickets are $100-$49 of which is considered a charitable contribution. Get them at www.sunvalleycenter.org or by calling 208-726-9491.
