Independent Goods is staging its second Thirsty Thursday on July 19.
The store at 330 Walnut Ave. in Ketchum will throw open its doors for a few hours beginning at 5 p.m., inviting the public to enjoy free drinks, listen to some music and meet one of the craftsman who have their goods represented by the store, said store owner Susan Nieves.
This month’s artist will be local jewelry maker Diane Stewart-Heiner of Whytecloud Mountain Gems.
Stewart-Heiner will be showcasing necklaces and rings made from bronze casting nails from the iconic Sun Valley Barn. She will also be showing her collection of shotgun shells necklaces, each with a unique crystal, and antique pieces-many by famed jewelry maker David Navarro,
“The diversity and uniqueness of her jewelry is amazing,” said Nieves. “Diane is also a natural storyteller and the stories she tells about each piece is captivating. She also is a wealth of knowledge about what certain crystals might do for your life.”
Independent Goods features local and regional artisans who are creating unique products—each with a story behind them—that you won’t find in chain stores.
