Ketchum’s Tenth Street will turn into a miniature version of Tuscany with the aroma of wood-fired pizza wafting through the air and the scintillating spectacle of clay being tempered by fire on Thursday.
That’s when Boulder Mountain Clayworks throws its annual Tuscany on Tenth fundraiser.
The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 26, in Ketchum’s Tenth Street Industrial Park.
Attendees will get to choose their favorite hand-fired wine cup, which they can take home with them after filling it with wine and other beverages throughout the evening.
The Ketchum Grill Pizza Truck will serve up pizza, which will be augmented with salads and other fare.
Participants will get an opportunity to try their hand at glazing a pot and firing it. And there will be throwing and raku fire demonstrations, raffle prizes, a silent auction of studio potters’ creations and a live auction.
Tickets are $60, available at www.bouldermtnclay.org.
