Swiftsure Ranch is trying to rustle up a new executive director.
The board of directors of the equestrian therapeutic center have announced the resignation of Meg Stamper a year after she took the reins of the ranch south of Bellevue.
Board President Terry Fowler said the board will immediately initiate a search for Stamper’s replacement.
“We are grateful for Meg’s contribution during her tenure and are saddened to have Meg leave Swiftsure Ranch,” he said. “We have a terrific staff, many volunteers and talented board members who will fill in and perform the executive director’s responsibilities in the interim.”
The ranch recently held its annual Cowboy Ball fundraiser under the leadership of board member Jen Goitandia. The ball met its fundraising goals, which will allow it to continue to expand its operations to accommodate additional participants in the coming year.
“The generosity of our donors and committed volunteers contributed to a fun night filled with appreciation for the difference Swiftsure’s programs make in so many people’s lives,” Goitandia said.
Swiftsure Ranch provides free equine therapy to children and adults dealing with a myriad of challenges, including multiple sclerosis, learning differences, PTSD, traumatic brain injury and cancer.
