As of 3:09 p.m., the Bureau of
Land Management reported that the Sharps Fire has grown Tuesday from
27,000 acres to 34,726 acres. There are 105 firefighters working with
numerous air resources to try and keep the Sharps fire line southeast of
Martin Canyon and east of Sharps. Quigley Road is now closed at the
mouth of the canyon where the pavement ends. Slaughterhouse Creek Road
is also now closed where the pavement end. These roads are being closed
to restrict access into the fire area where crews are working. The
Forest Service has also closed Cove Creek Rd 1.5 miles from East Fork
Road
Road closures remain in effect for Muldoon Canyon Road
from the entrance of EE-DA-HO Ranch to Baugh Creek Road. Hunt's Lane has
been closed on the east side of the ranch. And both the Little Wood
River Reservoir and High 5 Creek Recreation area have been evacuated and
are closed to the public. The fire began Sunday 6 miles east of
Bellevue and was caused by someone shooting explosive targets. Visit
