As of 3:09 p.m., the Bureau of Land Management reported that the Sharps Fire has grown Tuesday from 27,000 acres to 34,726 acres. There are 105 firefighters working with numerous air resources to try and keep the Sharps fire line southeast of Martin Canyon and east of Sharps. Quigley Road is now closed at the mouth of the canyon where the pavement ends. Slaughterhouse Creek Road is also now closed where the pavement end. These roads are being closed to restrict access into the fire area where crews are working. The Forest Service has also closed Cove Creek Rd 1.5 miles from East Fork Road   Road closures remain in effect for Muldoon Canyon Road from the entrance of EE-DA-HO Ranch to Baugh Creek Road. Hunt's Lane has been closed on the east side of the ranch. And both the Little Wood River Reservoir and High 5 Creek Recreation area have been evacuated and are closed to the public. The fire began Sunday 6 miles east of Bellevue and was caused by someone shooting explosive targets. Visit EyeOnSunValley.com for additional updates.
