Constitutional scholar David Adler will offer a free discussion titled “The Second Amendment: Origins, Facts and Myths” at 6 tonight—Thursday, Aug. 2—at Ketchum’s Community Library.
Few provisions of the Constitution generate as much controversy as the Second Amendment, which protects the right to keep and bear arms. Adler will present the rationale for its creation, various interpretations and the central case law.
Adler, president of The Alturas Institute, founded the Conversations with Exceptional Women which brings female leaders from various professions together for two days of stimulating discussions every September at Community Library.
He also is the author of six books, including “The War Power in an Age of Terrorism.”
