The fifth annual FarmRaiser fundraiser is under way at Hemingway STEAM School.
Hemingway students will sell fresh apples, organically grown vegetables, raw local honey, Idaho potatoes, Toni’s Sun Valley granola and other locally made products through Oct. 15 while learning about the importance and benefits of eating a healthy local diet.
Products will be distributed to customers Oct. 24 and 25.
The Hemingway STEAM School Parent Auxiliary will use the funds raised from sales for education programs, teacher enrichment, classroom supplies and special school events. Last year’s FarmRaiser raised more than $13,000 for the school.
“In the fall every family should be eating apples fresh from the tree,” said Mark Abbott, FarmRaiser founder.
“My kids look forward to FarmRaiser every year,” added Haley Stevens, parent chair of the Hemingway FarmRaiser. “It is not only a great way to earn money for Hemingway but also a great way to connect with our community.”
This year’s vendors include Kelley’s Canyon Orchard in Filer, Kraay’s Market & Garden in Bellevue, Five Bee Hives in Hailey, Toni’s Sun Valley Ice Cream in Ketchum, Idahound in Carey and Rasberrys Catering & Bistro in Ketchum.
