The Wood River Women’s Foundation will begin accepting online 2019 Grant Applications from the Wood River Valley’s nonprofit organizations beginning today.
“This is the first year of doing our application process online” said Gina Wolcott, WRWF Grants chair. “It is our hope and intent to make applying for our grants significantly easier for non-profits.”
The philanthropic organization accepts grant applications in the areas of Arts, Education, Environment, Health, Recreation, and Social Services.
It increased the maximum amount for grants for the coming giving cycle from $20,000 to $35,000. Grants will now be awarded in amounts from $5,000 to $35,000.
An informational meeting to walk nonprofit representatives through the process will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Ketchum’s Community Library. Complete details and instructions for the Online Grant Application can be found on the WRWF website at www.woodriverwomensfoundation.org.
The completed application is due on or before Monday, November 12.
In 2018 the WRWF awarded grant monies totaling more than $278,000 to 16 local non-profits. Grant Committee members screened more than 30 applications, visited applicant sites and heard presentations describing projects designed to benefit the Wood River Valley community, The organization’s 260-plus members voted on the final grant awards.
In the past 13 years, the WRWF have granted more than $2.3 million to non-profits serving Blaine County residents.
The Wood River Women’s Foundation mission is to inspire and educate women to become leaders in philanthropy and to bring significant, positive change to the community by pooling and distributing its members’ resources.
