The pots and pans will be clanking on Wednesday when Ketchum Community Dinners kicks off its tenth season of serving up free dinners for the community.
Kathy Minor and her team will kick off the 2018-19 season of dinners from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Presbyterian Church of the Big Wood across from the Community YMCA on Saddle Road.
There’ll be salad, a delicious entrée, bread and rolls donated by Bigwood Bread—and dessert, too. All served up by community members with big smiles on their faces.
Anyone is welcome, whether they just want a nice home-cooked meal or a chance to sit down with others and chat. Takeout is available, as well.
Ten Volunteer crews overseen by Beth Grinstead served 1,180 meals during the 2017-18 season, up 17 percent from the year before. Dinners averaged 36 people per night, with the largest group weighing in at 60.
