There will be games at the Game Dinner this year!
The Sun Valley Ski Education’s 42nd annual Wild Game Dinner will include ski boot corn hole, an archery deer hunting game and a wine pull, along with its gourmet game dinner prepared by Sun Valley’s ex3cutive chef Ken Pratt.
The dinner will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, at the Sun Valley Inn Limelight Room. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. with games, cocktails and silent auction bidding, followed by dinner and a paddle up auction. DJ Dave from Boise will provide tunes for dancing to cap the evening.
Some of the auction packages include a two-shooter hunting trip to the David Denies Pica Zuro Lodge in Argentina, an Asado Lamb Dinner for 40, a New Year’s Eve Party at Rotarun Ski Area and the always popular Lobster Dinner for 20.
Tickets are $150, available at www.svsef.org or by calling 208-726-4129.
The Wild Game dinner began in 1976 as a way for ski team families to celebrate the start of the ski season and the heritage of snow sports in Sun Valley. Proceeds benefit local SVSEF athletes, which makes it possible for any child to participate in skiing or boarding.
The SVSEF subsidizes 45 percent of program costs, with the help of generous donors who provided $357,615 last year for need- and merit-based financial aid.
The SVSEF, founded in 1966, offers an array of programs for athletes 5 and older.
