Join freelance photographer, writer and guide Chad Chorney on a flyfishing journey throughout the world during Trout Unlimited’s next meeting on Thursday.
The free presentation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Whiskey Jacques in Ketchum.
Chorney lives with his springer spaniel Trico in Picabo where he is a full-time fly fishing, upland bird hunting and waterfowl hunting guide with Picabo Angler. He has fished extensively in British Columbia, Ontario, Belize, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and throughout the United States, including Alaska.
Each winter he guides excursions to Chilean Patagonia, spending several weeks on saltwater flats in search of bonefish, tarpon and snook.
His work has appeared in such publications as Gray’s Sporting Journal, Fly Fisherman, Fly Fishing and Tying Journal, Angler’s Journal, American angler and others. A sampling of Chad’s work is at www.instagram.com/rchadchorneyphotography.
Additionally, Mike McKenna, will be on hand, signing copies of his new book, “Flyfishing the Eastern Sierra.” He is donating a portion of the proceeds from sales of the book to the Hemingway Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
