Want some tunes to play in front of the fireplace?

Sun Valley Records, a new online non-profit music streaming service, has a released a music CD as a fundraising tool for The Community Library.

The CD, “Keeping It Home,” features 22 local artists and can be purchased at the Library and Gold Mine thrift store, as well as Atkinsons’ Market, Chapter One Bookstore, The Elephant’s Perch and Ketchm Kitchens in Ketchum.

It is available at Iconoclast Books in Hailey.

The CD project is the brainchild of local music producer Don Zimmer. It was mastered by Gary Carlson.

It features Hart Gibson, Casey Kristofferson, Sequestrado, Sagebrush Reunion, Michaela French, Trevor Green, Michael Saul, Bruce Innes, Dewey, Pickette and Howe, Doghaus and Spike Coggins.

It also features the Robbie Walden Band, Mark Mueller, The County Well, Bread and Circus, Andrew Sheppard, Pesky Grape Seeds, Old Death Whisper, Mia Edsall, All Night Diner, the Braun Brothers and Kevin Ware.

It showcases the area’s diverse musical talent while benefitting a local cultural landmark, said Carter Hedberg, director of philanthropy for the library.

“The library is well-used and well-loved with more than 125,000 visitors a year and 16,000 cardholders and this project gives everyone an easy way to invest in the library as we enter the homestretch of the RENEW campaign,” he said, referring to the remodeling the library is currently undergoing.

The double CDs are $20 each—500 would raise $10,000 for the library.
