Learn the latest about efforts to restore the Big Wood River when Trout Unlimited presents an update on the Big Wood River Initiative.
Keri York, Trout Unlimited Big Wood River project manager, will offer the update on the project overseen by Trout Unlimited and the Wood River Land Trust during Trout Unlimited’s monthly meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, upstairs in Whiskey Jacques.
During the past year Trout Unlimited has led projects to restore the Big Wood, which many consider the lifeblood of our community, at the Glendale diversion.
York will discuss innovative techniques employed following the Sharps Fire in August 2018. And she will discuss collaborative efforts with Blaine County for an upcoming watershed assessment that will aid stream alteration permits and improve the health of the river in the long term.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
