The 2019 Sun Valley Writers Conference passes go on sale today at 10 a.m. Sun Valley time.

The passes go on sale today—Friday, Feb. 8—at www.svwc.com. Hit the big yellow “Click to Purchase” button, which will appear at 10 on the dot.

It’s advised to use a desktop or laptop computer running off high-speed internet service, rather than a smart phone or tablet. Organizers also suggest using a modern browser, such as Chrome, Firefox or Safari, rather than Internet Explorer or Opera.

Full conference passes, which include all talks, breakouts, breakfasts and lunches, cost $950. An All-Pavilion Pass for those who want to hear 10 to 12 Pavilion talks while still having time for golf or a lunchtime hike, cost $750.

Each purchaser may purchase up to two of each type of pass.

No purchases can be made via mail, email or phone. But for more information, call 208-726-5454 or email info@svwc.com.

This year’s conference—the 25th—will be held Saturday, July 20, through Tuesday, July 23, at Sun Valley Resort.

This year’s list of presenters includes Historian Joanne B. Freeman, who has written the award-winning “Affairs of Honor: National Politics in the New Republic” and “The Field of Blood: Congressional Violence and Road to Civil War.”

Mark Leibovich has written “Big Game: The NFL in Dangerous Times;” and Miriam Pawel, “The Browns of California.” Hisham Matar won the Pulitzer Prize for Autobiography for his 2016 memoir “The Return: Fathers, Sons and the Land in Between,” in which he recounts his search for his father, who was kidnapped and imprisoned in Libya.

Other presenters include Andrew Roberts, who specializes in Winston Churchill; Emily Ruskovich, who wrote “Idaho,” an L.A. Times best-selling novel, and Idaho-born Tara Westover, who wrote the acclaimed memoir “Educated.”
