Celebrate Idaho Day from noon to 7 p.m. today--Monday, March 4--at the Blaine County Historical Museum in Hailey.
Idaho was recognized as the Territory of Idaho in 1863. It remained an organized, incorporated territory of the United States until July 3, 1890, when it was admitted to the Union as the State of Idaho.
This year’s focus will be on a new record collection. Visitors may also peruse John Davies’ mountain man regalia, which was provided to the museum this past year. And of course, there’s plenty more to see from a miner’s tunnel to what is probably the largest collection of political buttons in Idaho.
Admission is free, and refreshments will be served.
