With snowpacks settling a half-foot a day, it’s time to think about planting those cool season veggies.
Master Gardener Manon Gaudreau will teach a free class on “Starting Cool Season Vegetables” at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at the Hailey Public Library.
The class will teach you how to start cool season vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage indoors, said the library’s program specialist Kristin Fletcher. It will also answer such questions as what are cool season plants, when to start the seeds and how to know it’s time to plant young seedlings outside.
The class is the second in a three-part gardening series offered by the Hailey Public Library and Wood River Seed Library.
