Dust off your Easter baskets.
Sun Valley Resort is staging its annual Easter Egg Hunt this afternoon.
The Easter hunt starts at 5 p.m. But the fun kicks off at 4 p.m. with music by the Kim Stocking Band. And the fun will continue to 7 p.m. with free ice skating, glitter tattoos from The Toy Store and a chance to ride the kids train.
At 5 the race is on for 5,000-plus eggs hidden around the Sun Valley Inn pond. Children will be assigned different areas based on their ages so little ones won’t get stampeded.
Oh, and the Easter Bunny will take time out for photos beginning at 5:15 p.m. before he hops away to hide more eggs for other Easter Egg hunts.
Come Sunday, you can partake in the Easter Brunch at the Sun Valley Club from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food will be served buffet style and will include everything from eggs benedict and brioche French toast to lox and bagels, custom-made omelets, a carving station and a great selection of desserts from the Sun Valley Konditorei’s pastry chef.
Cost is $42 for adults and $19 for youth 12 and under. Reservations are required and can be made at 208-622-2919 or by emailing svclubreservations@sunvalley.com.
Then, make your way over to the Warm Springs Plaza for as Lounge on Fire sends Bald Mountain’s winter season off in style after 151 days of superb groomers, deep powder and even a little sun here and there. The band will play from 2 to 5 p.m. as the last of Baldy’s skiers zing down Warm Springs.
