The song goes, “Summertime and the living is easy…”

Substitute “slack” for summertime in Sun Valley.

Both Sun Valley Resort and the Limelight Hotel are offering pampering specials for locals during the next month when things are a little quieter.

Pamper yourself like a local during Sun Valley Spa Week, which begins today—Sunday, April 28, and runs through Saturday, May 4.

The week-long Spa Week offers Wood River Valley locals a chance to focus on their personal health and wellness via yoga classes and skin care and massage sessions.

Sun Valley’s Spa is offering a variety of yoga classes for $5.  Reservations are needed at 208-622-2160 or thespa@sunvalley.com as space is limited.

Classes include:

Tuesday—8 a.m. Gentle Flow Yoga; 5 p.m. Restorative Yoga

Wednesday—8 a.m. Gentle Flow Yoga

Thursday—8 a.m. Gentle Flow Yoga; 5 p.m. Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Friday—8 a.m. HIIT Yoga

Saturday—9 a.m. Gentle Flow Yoga.

A variety of massage and body procedures are also being offered, including Thai Massage, Acupuncture, Quench Body Wrap and exfoliations. Ditto for skincare procedures and manicures and pedicures.

Sun Valley Resort will follow that up with a three-day Sun Valley Spa Wellness Retreat May 30-June 2, which will include all-inclusive dining, daily spa treatment, recreational excursions, fitness classes and culinary and nutrition classes.

Meanwhile, The Limelight Hotel in Ketchum is spicing up the coming few weeks with 5B Sundays beginning today. It stands for Beers, Bloodies, Bubbles, Burgers and Bluegrass and it will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays through June 2with access to the pool for adults. And it will be offered through June 2.

“We are happy to welcome our local and regional Idaho friends this spring with great rates for a staycation and always fun times in our lounge,” said John Curnow, general manager of Limelight Ketchum. “Locals wanted.”
