Do you have an idea worth spreading?
The application process is now open for the 4th annual TEDxSunValley with the theme “Beyond the Summit.”
The event will take place on Sept, 21, 2019, at the Argyros Performing Arts Center. This independently organized event, licensed by TED and organized by the TEDxSunValley committee of volunteers, seeks speakers to share their ideas worth spreading.
Organizers especially encourage speaker applicants from the Sun Valley area and from those with connections to Sun Valley, but also welcome applicants from beyond.
“The theme this year, Beyond the Summit, hearkens to ambition, insight, and vision, and we welcome inspiring ideas worth spreading from those with depth of expertise and experience,” says Aimée Christensen, TEDxSunValley founder and co-organizer with Kim and Andy Castellano. “Speaking at TEDxSunValley is an opportunity to reach the world through the TED platform. Jody Stanislaw’s 2017 talk (concerning diabetes and nutrition) already has a million views and climbing!”
“To provide a quality platform for ideas worth spreading, we organizers pour a ton of volunteer time and effort into TEDxSunValley, a place that is, in itself, Beyond the Summit,” said event co-organizer Kim Castellano. “This year, we are hoping to receive more local applications to speak at our 4th annual TEDxSunValley, especially since there are so many accomplished and interesting individuals who call this valley home.”
Applications should be filled out online and submitted by June 1, 2019, on the TEDxSunValley website at: http://www.tedxsunvalley.com/application/.
TEDx programs started in 2009 as locally organized events to bring a community together to share a TED-like experience. Some of the best talks from the events have gone on to be featured on TED.com, garnering millions of views from audiences across the globe.
