The Nature Conservancy is gearing up for summer with three events in the Wood River Valley this coming week.
Its Silver Creek Preserve south of Bellevue will celebrate the opening day of fishing with its annual BBQ from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25. The public is invited to share fishing stories over free burgers and dogs.
On Wednesday, May 29, The Nature Conservancy will open its doors for one of its Green Drinks events at its office at 116 N. 1st Ave. across from Java in Hailey. The public is invited in to meet and connect with those concerned with conservation, land management, food systems and the environment over an evening of drinks from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Finally, The Nature Conservancy will host a family-friendly nature walk from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the Rinker Rock Creek Ranch west of Hailey. The guided tour will explore the diverse plants of the Wood River Valley.
