The Wood River Chapter of the Idaho Native Plant Society (INPS) is sponsoring a Spring Bloom field trip to a surprise destination on Saturday, June 15.
Organizers will scout an exciting spot to visit a few days before the event. The field trip is categorized as moderate, for uneven terrain.
Those who wish to take part should meet the group at the Hailey Park and Ride Lot (corner of Bullion and River streets) to set up carpools. Plan to arrive at 8:15 a.m. so the group can leave at 8:30 a.m.
Participants should wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for seasonal weather. It is also advised to bring sufficient water, insect repellent, lunch, sunscreen, and hiking poles if you use them. No dogs, please. Expect to return to Hailey around 3 p.m.
The program is open to all at no charge, although memberships in the local INPS chapter are encouraged. For more information, call Kristin Fletcher at 208-721-2583.
