Valley favs Pixie and the Partygrass Boys will play Ketch’em Alive this week. And The Mitchell Gregory project will imbue Sun Valley’s rarefied air with some Brazilian bossa nova.
- The Mitchell Gregory Project will perform Brazilian bossa nova and Afro Cuban Latin jazz from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight—Sunday, July 21—at Ketchum’s Rotary Park at Warm Springs and Saddle roads.
The free Jazz in the Park concert will feature some of Idaho’s best players in those genres on acoustic guitar, piano, sax, conga drums, bongos, drums and even a cowbell.
Patrons are encouraged to bring picnics and low back chairs.
- On Tuesday, July 23, Pixie and the Partygrass Boys will headline the free Ketch’em Alive concert from 7 to 9 p.m. in Ketchum’s Forest Service Park.
Pixie and the Partygrass Boys hails from the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. The five-piece band plays high-energy Americana music complete with a little bluegrass, some harmonic vocals and even some well-known tunes sure to have the crowd up on their feet and dancing.
Opening is Frida’s Eyebrows.
Picnics are welcome. There also will be food and beverage vendors set up on Washington Street.
