Hit a few golf balls to support St. Luke’s Wood River’s emergency services.
St. Luke’s Wood River foundation and the Elkhorn, Bigwood, Sun Valley and Valley Club women’s golf committees will co-host the 2019 Rally for the Valley women’s golf fundraising tournament on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at Elkhorn Golf Club.
The proceeds from this year’s tourney will go to the Emergency Services Endowment to support the extraordinary care St. Luke’s board-certified emergency doctors and staff provide to the community, said Event Organizer Marilyn Hoffman.
“All the donations are kept locally,” she added.
Ninety women played a rousing 18 holes at last year’s Rally for the Valley, raising more than $37,000 for St. Luke’s Women’s Health. Proceeds from that event helped purchase an MRI breast system for the St. Luke’s Wood River’s Women’s Imaging Center.
The money from the 2016 tourney went to St. Luke’s Wood River Medical Center’s infusion center.
Golfers are encouraged to compete in costume and decorate their golf carts. Non-golfers are invited to take part in a social hour following the tournament.
Check-in starts at 9:30 a.m. and the shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. Social hour begins at 3 p.m.
Tournament registration is $125; the social hour costs $50 and includes a donation.
