Celebrate the Wood River Valley’s Latino culture on Saturday at the second annual Hailey Hispanic Heritage Latinx Fest.
The festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Roberta McKercher Park in Hailey.
There’ll be special musical performances by the Mariachi mi Terra from Nampa from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Crossing Bridges, a Peruvian group from Jerome High School, will dance from 1:30 to 2 p.m. And Impacto, De Nuevo Leon will perform from 3 to 5 p.m.
In addition, there will be a ceremony honoring the Hispanic Heroes of the Hailey community from 2 to 3 p.m.
“We want to recognize community members for supporting the Hispanic community and blending culture,” said Herbert Romero, who is organizing the event.
You won’t go hungry, as there will be plenty of Mexican, Salvadoran, Peruvian and American food for sale.
“We just hope everyone will come out to enjoy our rich culture,” said Romero.
